Military Police training in Army units
Military Police battalions of the Army are conducting intensive training for individuals and units, preparing them to perform MP and general security work at the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
The purpose of the activity is to provide professional personnel with regular training and the newly admitted soldiers and leaders with additional training, as well as to maintain the units’ high level of combat readiness.
Depending on their specialties, military policemen are primarily practicing the tactics, techniques and procedures for protecting areas, facilities and persons, utilizing Military Working Dogs and modern MP weapons and equipment used in the SAF. In addition to teaching the trainees the principles and tactics of protective security, particular emphasis is placed on teamwork and a proper exercise of police authority, these being prerequisites for a successful execution of specific MP tasks.
In the upcoming period, a more complex training content will be practiced on the drill grounds and at the specialized training areas of the Serbian Armed Forces, including tactical drills, tactical exercises and live fire drills.
MP units are equipped with modern assets and weapons of domestic and foreign production, which, along with continuous training, ensures that military policemen have the required ability to perform the work and tasks assigned to them, in accordance with the law, other regulations and commander’s orders in all three missions of the Serbian Armed Forces.
