Sector for Infrastructure and Hospitality Services
Sector for Infrastructure and Hospitality Services is one of the principal inner units of the Ministry of Defence responsible for: normative regulation, planning, organization, supervision and construction of military facilities and normative regulation of agricultural activities, forestry, hunting, tourism and catering services in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces; major works projects to maintain infrastructure facilities used by the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces; preparation, drafting and issuing of notices, proposals, permits for the use of real estate; providing expert opinion about the application of laws and by-laws in the field of infrastructure and hospitality services.
Sector for Infrastructure and Hospitality Services comprises the following two internal units:
1. Infrastructure Department and
2. Department for Hospitality Services.
INFRASTRUCTURE DEPARTMENT
Infrastructure Department performs normative activities in the following domains: infrastructure, management, planning, construction, acquisition and maintenance of infrastructure facilities used by the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, preparation and drawing up technical documentation for construction and maintenance of real estate used by the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as the harmonization of spatial development of military infrastructure and the adjustment of facilities of importance to defence to the country’s needs.
The following organizational units are subordinate to the Head of the Infrastructure Department:
Directorate for General-Purpose Real Estate
Military Construction Centre “Beograd“
Military Construction Institution “Beograd“
Military Institution “Beograd-2”
Directorate for General-Purpose Real Estate performs the following activities: specialist - operational affairs pertaining to lease administration and purchase of apartments, garages, garage space, and business premises; prepares agreements and annexes to agreements for the lease and lease purchase of garages, business premises and adapted common areas; oversees the use of real estate for special purposes; determines the condition of real estate and initiates legal proceedings with the Military Attorney's Office for termination of contracts.
Military Construction Centre “Beograd“ supervises the construction and major works projects to maintain military real estate, housing stock and business premises used by the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
Military Construction Institution “Beograd“ is responsible for construction, finishing and installation works during the construction, appendage, reconstruction, adaptation, restoration and demolition of special purpose infrastructure facilities used by the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as the maintenance of special purpose infrastructure facilities used by the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
Military Institution “Beograd-2” is responsible for regular maintenance and major works projects to maintain residential buildings and flats, garages and business premises, special purpose real estate and real estate for representation purposes used by the organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
DEPARTMENT FOR HOSPITALITY SERVICES
Department for Hospitality Services is in charge of normative, legal and analytical regulation of tasks performed by military establishments responsible for the production and service activities for the needs of the defence system.
The following units are directly subordinate to the Department for Hospitality Services:
Military Institution "Dedinje",
Military Institution "Таrа“ and
Military Institution "Morović" .
Military Institution “Dedinje” performs activities relating to agricultural production, provision of catering and mess hall services, accommodation and food services and other hospitality and commercial services to professional members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, members of their families and other business entities and individuals.
Military Institution “Tara“ provides hospitality and leisure services, holidays, single room occupancy, and other hospitality services to members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, members of their families, local and foreign organizations, institutions, business entities and individuals.
Military Institution “Morović” provides services in the field of hospitality and tourism, performs activities relating to agricultural production, horticulture, forestry, hunting and appropriate service activities related to hunting and fishing, as well as wholesale and retail trade in products from its own production range.
