Defence Minister’s Collegium holds session
A session of the Defence Minister’s Collegium, chaired by Minister Bratislav Gašić, was held in Belgrade today.
The session considered the degree of completion of the tasks that fall within the functional jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, and analysed the current security situation in the region and around the world.
It was concluded that the pace of modernization of weapons and military equipment and the provision of new ones was going according to plan and that a concerted effort to equip the Serbian Armed Forces with modern weapons and military equipment would continue in the period to come. It was also concluded that the exercises successfully conducted by the Serbian Armed Forces had contributed to the enhancement of operational capabilities.
It was highlighted that the Sector for Infrastructure and Hospitality Services had been formed in order to boost efficiency in carrying out infrastructure projects, as well as to improve the quality of life of members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
