Minister Gašić Visits Military Intelligence Agency and Meets Future Defence Attachés
Today, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić visited the Military Intelligence Agency and meet future Defence Attachés.
Director of the Military Intelligence Agency Major General Zoran Stojković, with his associates, presented to the minister the capabilities, capacities and purview of work of the Agency, as well as the current global and regional politico-security situation. General Stojković also spoke about plans for the future of the Military Intelligence Agency.
The minister of defence stressed that the Military Intelligence Agency had always been the pillar of security and intelligence system of the Republic of Serbia, and that its members were serious professionals who lived and worked for Serbia, while their task demanded much self-sacrifice. He stated that the Military Intelligence Agency would always enjoy the support of the state and military leadership in realisation of all its activities.
During today’s visit, Minister Gašić met the officers of the Military Intelligence Agency who will in the period to come take over duties of Serbian defence attachés and assistant defence attachés in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Bulgaria, Russian Federation, United States of America, and United Arab Emirates.
On that occasion, the minister of defence provided them with guidelines for their work once they assume their duties in the receiving countries, expressing his belief that they would protect the interests of Serbia and worthily represent their country which is firmly oriented towards protecting its military neutrality.
