International Tactical Exercise Platinum Wolf 24
International tactical exercise Platinum Wolf 24, co-organized by the Serbian Armed Forces and the U.S. European Command, will be conducted at Base South and Borovac Training Ground from June 10 to 21.
The goal of the exercise, which was planned based on the UN Charter, is to enhance interoperability and mutual understanding between the armed forces of partner countries during the execution of a peace support operation in a multinational environment.
Over two hundred exercise participants will be practicing the tactics, techniques and procedures used in peacekeeping operations, with an emphasis on the use of non-lethal weapons. Urban combat, defence of a base, crowd control and manning a checkpoint are part of the planned exercise activities.
Through organization and active participation in Platinum Wolf exercises, which have been conducted since 2014, SAF commands and units improve their skills and ability to plan, organize and conduct international exercises, and platoon and company-sized units improve their skills that are necessary for participation in peacekeeping operations.
