Minister Gašić visits Yumco in Vranje
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić visited Yumco today, a company based in Vranje, where he took a tour of its production facilities and met with the factory management.
Branislav Trajković, general manager at Yumco, thanked the Ministry of Defence for the support it gives to Yumco and gave a brief overview of the results the factory has achieved and the plans for its future operations. During the meeting with the factory management, there was talk about the future cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.Minister Gašić emphasized Yumco’s importance for Vranje and the Pčinja District. Its manufacturing operations and the results it achieves help the economy in the south of our country get stronger, he said.
According to him, the state leadership will continue to provide support for the company, and the Ministry of Defence will continue to attach special attention to the cooperation with Yumco.- Thanks to Yumco, which manufactures various garments and equipment for the members of the Serbian Armed Forces, our soldiers have uniform that meets the highest design standards. Ballistic protection sets, protective and pilot gear, tactical uniform for members of the Special Purpose MP Detachment “Kobre”, are just a part of the range of products that this company manufactures for our military, and I am certain that this form of cooperation will continue in the years to come to mutual satisfaction – said Minister Gašić.
Minister Gašić was accompanied on today’s visit to Yumco by Assistant Minister for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović, Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Lt. Gen. Želimir Glišović, Army Commander Lt. Gen. Milosav Simović and Head of the Defence Minister’s Office, Brig. Gen Goran Momčilović.
