New competitions for admission to special units of Serbian Armed Forces soon
On June 1, 2024, the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces will launch the next cycle of competitions for the admission of new members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and Special Purpose Military Police Detachment “Kobre”.
Young men and women under 30 years old, citizens of the Republic of Serbia, will have the opportunity to apply for these special units of the Serbian Armed Forces until the end of July. Candidates who meet general and specific conditions will undergo relevant medical tests and psychological assessments, followed by a physical fitness test.
A prerequisite for getting into selective training, which consists of several elimination stages, is the fulfilment of rigorous medical, psychological and security criteria. The best candidates will get the chance to join the professional military service for a six-month period, with the possibility of extending their employment contract for up to three additional years and renewing it once it expires.
Those who become part of these elite units of the Serbian Armed Forces will undergo continuous training and professional development, and will be working with state-of-the-art weapons and military equipment. Future members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade will be posted in the garrison of Pančevo, while future members of the Special Purpose Military Police Detachment “Kobre” will be working in Belgrade.
Candidates who have not completed training under arms can also apply. However, they will have to complete the basic military training before embarking on the selective training.
The Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces invite all interested candidates to demonstrate their sense of responsibility, readiness, courage and patriotism by serving their country as elite Special Forces.
Competitions for the admission to special units of the Serbian Armed Forces will be open from June 1 to July 31, 2024. Applicants will be able to learn all the details about the open competition on the websites of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces as soon as they are published.
