Workshop on management of complex projects in defence system
A workshop on the management of complex projects in the defence system, organized by the Project Management Office of the Defence Policy Sector, MOD, has been held in the Guard Club in Topčider.
The five-day activity was organized under the IMET bilateral cooperation program, in cooperation with the Defense Security Cooperation University’s (DSCU) Institute for Security Governance (ISG) from Monterey, California, and the Office of Defense Cooperation of the U.S. Embassy Serbia.During the workshop, which included members of various organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, basic principles of project management in the defence system were presented, as well as universal and useful knowledge that can be used for addressing various needs of the system.
The workshop included lectures, discussions, case studies and group work and considered all stages of project life cycle, from preparation and programming to project implementation – risk management, cost control, public procurement, scheduling, assigning roles and tasks to project teams, communication and project visibility and other segments of project management.
