Military Police Units’ Competition
The annual MP units’ competition, established in 2021, was held this week in Beranovac and Žiča, the training grounds of the Serbian Armed Forces near Kraljevo.
Six SAF teams and three teams from the Ministry of the Interior took part in this year’s competition. The overall winner was the team of the Special Operations Battalion “Falcons”, ahead of the teams of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit and Special Purpose MP Detachment “Kobre”.During the five-day competition, members of the military and police units carried out various tasks, demonstrating their mastery, tactical and shooting skills, and mental and physical endurance.
During the first two stages held at the Žiča shooting range, the competitors performed fire missions individually and as part of a patrol, carrying out tactical actions and complying with safety regulations. During the final two stages held at the Beranovac training ground, they performed tactical missions on the patrol track and competed in a 10 km team race with natural and artificial obstacles.
The MP units’ competition is held once a year as a unique platform for competing, demonstrating skills, exchanging ideas and strengthening cooperation between members of the military and police units.
