SAF aircraft maintenance training
Over the past two weeks, UTVA 75 trainer aircraft maintenance training was conducted at the Air Force and Air Defence Training Centre located at the military airfield “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović” in Batajnica.
This is an important training segment for aircraft technicians serving with air force brigades and a necessary step in obtaining a certificate allowing them to perform maintenance and specialist inspections of SAF aircraft.
The training was attended by non-commissioned officers from the 204th Air Brigade, whose military occupational specialty is aircraft maintenance. During their training at the Centre, they were taught to perform maintenance of this type of aircraft in a proper and safe manner.
The training included theoretical and practical lessons in Level 1 aircraft maintenance and procedures followed when checking the functionality of aircraft engines, electrical assemblies and communication, navigation and pilot survival equipment.
UTVA 75 aircraft maintenance training is only one of the courses targeted at SAF technicians that are conducted at the AF and AD Training Centre throughout the year. These courses produce qualified aircraft maintenance staff, who are essential for ensuring the airworthiness of the Serbian Armed Forces’ aircraft.
