Military service volunteers undergo parachute training
Military service volunteers (class of December 2023), who are performing the second part of their military service in the 63rd Parachute Brigade, have successfully completed the basic military parachute training in this SAF unit.
Last week, they performed familiarization jumps that allow soldiers to become acquainted with the parachutes and their manoeuvring features, jumps involving the deployment of a reserve parachute, and jumps with personal weapons and additional load.
To reach this part of training, the soldiers had previously had to go through individual training at the Training Command centres. Then they voluntarily joined the 63rd Parachute Brigade, where they successfully completed training in special operations tactics, weapons training and ground training.
During that period, they acquired basic military skills, learned how to handle modern weapons and equipment used by this elite unit of the Serbian Armed Forces, improved their physical and mental fitness and learned the jumping techniques and procedures to be followed in emergency situations.
Upon successful completion of the parachute training, the soldiers earned the title of a paratrooper, and the best among them have been offered the opportunity to become professional members of Special Forces, which all the trainees have already shown interest in.
