Futsal match between Serbian, Hungarian generals/high-ranking officers
A traditional futsal match between the generals/high-ranking officers of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Hungarian Defence Forces was held at Novi Sad’s Sports and Business Centre “Vojvodina” today.
The event, held for the 14th time, has been alternately held in Serbia and Hungary since 2015 with the aim of strengthening mutual trust and good neighbourly relations between the two countries.
In today’s match, the visiting team was led by Brigadier General Gábor Sánta and our team by Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff – Lieutenant General Želimir Glišović.As always, the game was played in a fair and friendly atmosphere, the score itself being less important. This time, the Serbian Armed Forces’ team beat the Hungarians 2:1.
Sporting events in which generals and high-ranking officers compete against each other are one of numerous activities carried out as part of the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the Hungarian Defence Forces, which is constantly improving and is a reflection of excellent relations between the two countries.
