State Secretary Starović meets with French ambassador to Serbia Cochar



State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence Nemanja Starović met today with the ambassador of the French Republic to Serbia, H.E. Pierre Cochard, with whom he discussed the defence cooperation between the two countries.
State Secretary Starović stressed that bilateral cooperation was successful and said that the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia was committed to intensifying cooperation in the field of defence and continuing high-level dialogue.   

According to him, the Ministry of Defence is actively working towards Serbia’s primary foreign policy goal – EU membership.  
Ambassador Cochar agreed that the EU integration of the Western Balkans was important for the establishment of lasting peace and stability in that part of Europe. Also, he reiterated the importance of bilateral defence cooperation between the two friendly countries.
