MOD delegation visiting USA
An MOD delegation, led by State Secretary Nemanja Starović, is currently on a visit to the United States of America.
During the visit, State Secretary Starović has met with representatives of the American administration. As part of the preparations for the 8th U.S.-Serbia Bilateral Defense Consultations, meetings were held with Director for the Balkans and Central Europe at the National Security Council Jeremy Long, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Political-Military Affairs Stanley Brown, and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State at the U.S. Department of State and Special Representative to the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar.State Secretary Starović also took part in the panel discussion "The U.S.-Serbia Defense Partnership: From Operation Halyard to the Present", which was organized by the Serbian embassy in the United States and the Halyard Mission Foundation and was held at the United States Congress.
Serbian Ambassador to the United States of America Marko Đurić, members of the United States Congress and the Congressional Serbian Caucus Claudia Tenney and Emanuel Cleaver and Adjutant General of the Ohio National Guard Maj. Gen. John Harris participated in the panel discussion moderated by the president of the Halyard Mission Foundation, John Cappello.After the panel discussion, the film "Heroes of Halyard" was premiered.
