Students from Petrovac na Mlavi visit Military Academy
Students of Mladost High School and Bata Bulić Elementary School from Petrovac na Mlavi have visited the Military Academy accompanied by their teachers.
Commandant of the Military Academy, associate professor Colonel Srđan Blagojević welcomed the guests – more than 100 students from Petrovac na Mlavi. Among the visitors were also the directors of Bata Bulić Elementary School and Mladost High School, Ivan Radosavljević and Aleksandar Filipović, the president of the Municipality Assembly of Petrovac na Mlavi, Hristina Đorđević, and the president of the town’s Sports Association, Dejan Marković.
Expressing his delight that such a large number of students were visiting the Military Academy, Colonel Blagojević emphasized that this form of cooperation should continue in the future. Therefore, a return visit from the professors and cadets of the Military Academy to Petrovac na Mlavi was arranged.
The visit provided the students from Petrovac na Mlavi with an opportunity to acquaint themselves with the possibilities of continuing their education at the Military Academy and in military high schools, and during their comprehensive tour of the Military Academy they were guided by cadets, who gave them first-hand information about their daily responsibilities, special types of lessons and extracurricular activities including educational and sports clubs, cultural events, events marking major historical anniversaries and competitions. They also visited the memorial room where the rich and long history of our higher military education is kept, and the visitors’ attention was particularly drawn to the weapons and military equipment labs, as well as the flight simulator.
The students and cadets played men’s and women’s 3X3 basketball games, but also demonstrated their boxing skills in the ring. The guests from Petrovac na Mlavi and cadets summed up their impressions about the visit over lunch in the cadet restaurant.
