Serbian Minister of Defence meets with German counterpart
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević met with the Minister of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany, Boris Pistorius, in the Guard Club in Topčider today.

At the meeting, Minister Vučević and his German counterpart discussed political and security situation in the region and beyond, and they also had the opportunity to consider at a strategic level modalities to continue cooperation in the field of defence.

During the conversation today, Minister Vučević emphasized Serbia’s long-term strategic commitment to remaining neutral, as well as its determination to continue working on the strengthening of the defence cooperation with all countries and international organizations, in accordance with its national interests and foreign policy priorities.
Minister Vučević told his German counterpart that deep concern was felt in Serbia about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, particularly about the safety of the Serb population in the north of the Province, following a series of utterly irresponsible moves made by the provisional Priština institutions. The Serbian side remains committed to the dialogue as the only way to address all issues in order to provide a better life for all the citizens of Kosovo and Metohija, he added.

Minister Vučević stressed the importance of cooperation in the sphere of education and training, while according to him, the most significant aspect of cooperation in the military-economic field is cooperation with AIRBUS and the procurement of its H-145M helicopters.
