Training in SAF infantry units
Infantry units from the 4th Army Brigade are currently doing training on the training ground near Vranje. They are preparing for the execution of specific tasks in combat operations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
The purpose of this regular training activity is to maintain a high level of skill of the professional members, to train newly admitted soldiers and leaders and to improve the general combat readiness of the units.The assets used during the training activity include Lazar 3 armoured combat vehicles, modern small arms and protective and other military equipment that have recently been procured for the SAF infantry units.
The focus of the training is on combat vehicle crews and infantry squads conducting joint tactical drills, and the next stage includes the execution of tactical exercises and live-fire drills in winter conditions, where the skills acquired during the intensive training will be tested.Continuous and planned practical training programmes and training activities in the Serbian Armed Forces units is of vital importance for maintaining high combat readiness and the units’ effective engagement during operations, in accordance with their purpose, missions and tasks.
