Statement
The Ministry of Defence strongly rejects the lies told today by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government in Priština, Albin Kurti and Xhelal Sveçla, particularly those accusing the Serbian Armed Forces in an extremely slanderous manner of their involvement in the events in Banjska and ties with non-existent "terrorist groups" that are allegedly planning to invade the territory of the false state of "Kosovo".
We underline that the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces act exclusively in accordance with their legal competences. Therefore, it is a blatant lie and absolute nonsense that the Serbian Armed Forces’ training grounds are used for the training of any units, other than the units of the Serbian Armed Forces and occasionally the Ministry of the Interior, and that there are any plans to "attack" the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija.
In default of any constructive solutions that would lead to the establishment of peace and stability on the territory of our southern province, Kurti and Sveçla sound like a broken record repeating lies that no one in the international community believes.
