Serbian Generals and Admirals Club given briefing on current global security situation

State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Nemanja Starović has held a regular briefing for the members of the Serbian Generals and Admirals Club about the current security situation in the region and the world and its impact on the security situation in Serbia.
This planned activity is part of the cooperation of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces with associations in 2023.

According to State Secretary Starović, the global security situation is characterized by increasingly dynamic political and security processes, both in terms of the number of actors that have influence on the circumstances in our region and the world, and the instruments they use to fulfil their goals.

Those tendencies, he said, present new challenges for the foreign policy position of country, whose main characteristics are neutrality, i.e. non-participation in any military alliances, and advocacy of the respect of international law, when it comes to Kosovo and Metohija.
The president of the Assembly of the Generals and Admirals Club, Lieutenant General Milomir Miladinović (retd), presented the activities of the Club, which was formed, among other things, with the aim of maintaining and fostering Serbia’s libertarian traditions and preserving the reputation and ethics of generals and admirals.

The briefing session was attended by acting Assistant Minister for Human Resources Siniša Radović, a delegate to the Head of the Department for Tradition, Standard and Veterans, Colonel Đorđe Kalanj, the president of the Club’s Executive Board, Major General Luka Kastratović (retd) and Club members.
