Anniversary of Technical Test Centre celebrated
The Technical Test Centre Day was officially celebrated today in commemoration of December 14, 1933, when the Aviation Test Group, which was responsible for the testing of weapons and military equipment, was formed.
To mark the occasion, a formal ceremony was held at the Guard Club in Topčider, which included a rich cultural and artistic programme, a summary of past year’s work results and an awards ceremony where outstanding individuals and institutions were awarded for fruitful cooperation with this military research institution.
In the overview of past year’s results, it was highlighted that, in the year in which we celebrate the Technical Test Centre’s 50th anniversary and 90 years of testing weapons and military equipment, the strengthening of the Centre’s research and development potentials has continued, and today it can boast of having extremely professional staff, modern testing and measuring equipment and modern testing methods based on domestic and foreign military and civilian standards.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Želimir Glišović, representatives of the organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, representatives of research institutions and companies, as well as numerous guests.
