Statement
The Ministry of Defence categorically rejects the allegations that the badge shown in a TV programme on N1 television channel today is identical to the Military Security Agency’s official identification badge. This is a case of blatant falsification of official identification documents of the Military Security Agency’s authorized personnel, and the allegations made in public in this regard bring state institutions into connection with the current political affairs.
The regulation on the type, shape and content of official identity documents and the design of the Military Security Agency’s and the Military Intelligence Agency’s badges precisely specifies their appearance, whereas the alleged "identification badge" shown on TV is significantly and strikingly different in shape and content, which unequivocally proves that it is a forgery.
The Ministry of Defence vehemently condemns any abuse of the symbols of state entities, as well as attempts to make our institution an object of political manipulation.
