Agreements on the purchase of military apartments signed
The signing of apartment purchase agreements has been organized for the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, following the adoption of amendments to regulations, allowing all tenants to buy their apartments under more favourable conditions. The tenants will be signing agreements from December 13 to 15, 2023.
Today's signing ceremony was attended by acting Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Nebojša Nikolić, Advisor to the Minister of Defence Nikola Banjac, Head of the Infrastructure Department, Material Resources Sector, Lieutenant Colonel Miloš Peruničić, and Deputy Attorney General for the Armed Forces Niš, Lieutenant Colonel Slobodan Stanimirović.In order to improve the living and working conditions for its members, in early June 2023, the Ministry of Defence started drafting regulations amending the rulebook on the purchase of affordable housing, which entered into force on November 1, 2023, simplifying and significantly accelerating the procedure for the purchase of apartments from the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces’ housing stock. Under the aforementioned amendments, the price of apartments in the military housing stock on Niš is reduced by 30 percent.
Once this Rulebook entered into force, the Infrastructure Department of the Material Resources Sector took measures within its competence to carry out the authentication of apartment purchase agreements with tenants in the most efficient way. In accordance with the provisions of the new amended Rulebook, points were awarded and lists were prepared for calculating the purchase price of the apartments.
