1st Army Brigade’s mechanized battalion conducts exercise
This week, the command of one of the 1st Army Brigade’s mechanized battalions is conducting an exercise at the SAF Simulations Training Centre.
This computer-assisted exercise is designed to test the ability of the unit command to plan, organize and carry out actions on combat operations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
The exercise tests the knowledge of the rules of employment of the mechanized battalion on operations, cooperation with the Army and Air Force and Air Defence units, as well as the cooperation with civilian elements. The emphasis is on tactical actions and staff procedures during the phase of the conduct of operations, with daily analysis of the command’s work in the decision-making process at all command levels.
Computer-assisted exercises are an important form of practical training for SAF commands, since they provide staff officers and commands with the opportunity to learn how to plan and execute operations using minimum material resources.
