Awards presented to winners of “Momčilo Gavrić – a Little Hero of the Great War” writing competition



The winners of the writing competition “Momčilo Gavrić – a Little Hero of the Great War” received awards at a ceremony held today at the Human Resources Sector, Ministry of Defence.

Acting Assistant Minister for Human Resources Siniša Radović congratulated the award winners and expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the works submitted and the motivation and desire of our high school students to participate in the competition and to pay tribute in their compositions full of respect and admiration to Momčilo Gavrić and all other heroes in our glorious history.
Assistant Minister Radović presented the first prize to the author of the best composition, Sara Milikić, a third grade student of the Military Grammar School, and her teacher, Željana Andrijević Andrić.   

Danica Vojnović, a fourth grade student of the Military Grammar School, took second place. She, and her teacher, Aleksandra Rakić, were presented with awards by Assistant Minister for Secondary Education and Adult Education Miloš Blagojević.

The third prize went to the second grade student of the First Kragujevac Grammar School Jelena Milovanović, who was presented with the award by Vesna Muratović Drobac, independent advisor at the Sector for Secondary Education and Adult Education at the Ministry of Education.
The winners of the first and second prizes won a seven-day stay each at the rest and recreation facilities of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, and the third prize winner received a book.

The writing competition “Momčilo Gavrić – a Little Hero of the Great War” has been organized for the first time this year, on the occasion of the Veterans Day, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.

The award ceremony
