CBRN Service members undergo training

Specialized training with genuine toxic substances was conducted for members of the Serbian Armed Forces at the CBRN Training Centre in Kruševac.
The purpose of the training, which was held in specialized labs and on the training ground “Ravnjak”, was for the 246th CBRN Battalion specialists to improve their knowledge of toxic chemicals and workplace safety measures and to practice working with these toxic substances.

The training programme, which was delivered by certified CBRN Centre instructors, included CBRN reconnaissance patrols to gain information about contaminated soil and facilities, detection and decontamination of weapons and equipment, and providing medical assistance to persons who have been exposed to toxic chemicals.
This specialized training has helped improve both the individual skills of the members of the 246th CBRN Battalion, and the unit’s overall ability to provide CBRN protection to SAF troops on operations.
