Future NCO candidates undergo new training model

Training has started this month at the NCO Training Centre “Sergeant Milunka Savić” in Pančevo for civilian candidates who have applied for admission to professional military service as non-commissioned officers of the Serbian Armed Forces.
It is a new model of training for entry-level NCO duties in SAF units, which includes four modules lasting nine months in total. The training includes the best and the fittest candidates who have applied to open competition launched in March this year.

The first two modules, during which candidates acquire knowledge needed for performing basic soldiers’ duties and develop skills as squad leaders, are carried out at the Pančevo Centre. The future NCOs are then transferred to training centres and SAF units for specialized training, where they will undergo practical training in handling branch- and service-specific assets.

In the last training stage, the candidates are sent to SAF units to do internship, in line with the jobs they have applied for, where they will have an opportunity to experience the roles as deputy and squad leader and test their knowledge in practice.
The candidates display great interest and motivation during the training, and those who successfully carry out all assigned tasks during the training will be promoted to the rank of sergeant and join the ranks of professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces.
