Loaded March for Cadets of Military Academy and Medical Faculty of MMA
Today, cadets of 148th Class of the Military Academy and 15th Class of Medical Faculty of the MMA and their superior officers carried out a loaded march in Deliblato Sands area. This was the first march of the youngest cadets.
The first year cadets of the Military Academy carried out the 22 kilometre-long march from Devojački Bunar settlement to the Church of St. Basil of Ostrog and back with full combat equipment. It was an opportunity for them to realise the importance of expert, fitness, and personal preparations in the sense of equipment adjustment for longer marches, as well as logistic and organisational preparations required to be carried out before the very activity.
Commander of Cadet Brigade, Colonel Milan Končar, led the marching party from Devojački Bunar settlement accompanied by the Class Commander Lieutenant Colonel Slaviša Jotić. Halfway through their route, near the Church of St. Basil of Ostrog in the Deliblato Sands, they had a brief respite where from the party moved on to their goal. This time, their senior colleagues, the cadets of 146th Class of General Logistics module waited for them at the finish line, and together with their professors from the Logistics Department and members of Field Support Battalion, they prepared and presented the food preparation and water supply technology.
Throughout the entire march, the cadets’ motivation was at an exceptional level, and there was not a moment when one could notice that this was the first loaded march of the youngest cadets and, with the help of experienced superior officers, the march was successfully executed despite difficult weather conditions and low temperatures.
