250th AD Missile Brigade Day



Today, in barracks “Banjica” in Belgrade a military celebration was held to mark the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade Day that is celebrated on 24th November in memory of the day when the 250th Air Defence Missile Regiment was established back in 1962.
On the occasion of the holiday, the unit organised march past of the Brigade units and static display of arms and military equipment, and they also presented key achievements in developing operational capabilities, and presented rewards to the most deserving individuals, and laid wreaths at the monument in the barracks.

In the overview of the results achieved in the year behind us, particularly pointed out were commitment, professionalism and a high level of competence of members of 250th Missile Brigade that were confirmed during the realisation of all assigned tasks and during live firing against air targets in Bulgaria, as well as their contribution to strengthening operational capabilities of the Air Force and Air Defence and security of our country aerospace.
The celebration was attended by Air Force and Air Defence Commander Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, Head of Operations Directorate (J-3) of the General Staff Major General Tiosav Janković, representatives of Serbian Armed Forces, Serbian Orthodox Church, local self-government bodies and institutions with which the Brigade cooperates, and numerous guests.
Today, members of 250th Missile Brigade have celebrated the unit’s patron day, Saint Martyr Stefan Dečanski, and on that occasion Vicar of Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, Bishop of Lipljan and Military, Dositej, led the holy religious service.
