Statement
The Ministry of Defence has noticed that certain accounts of unknown users have recently been sharing on social media outside the Serbian-speaking area videos and photos of parts of exercises conducted by the Serbian Armed Forces units, falsely presenting them as fire and tactical action of foreign armed formations.
These are publicly available videos and photos owned by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia whose downloading and reposting is allowed only if the source and appropriate time and space references are indicated, which was not done in the aforementioned cases, and the content was knowingly and deliberately falsified and misused.
In order to prevent misinformation and protect the reputation of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, we call on domestic and foreign media to refrain from disseminating counterfeit multimedia content created by falsifying the materials owned by the Ministry of Defence.
