Message from Minister of Defence to mark Army Day
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević has sent a message to mark November 16 – the Army Day, which reads as follows:
“I would like to convey my congratulations to all members of the Army on the occasion of November 16 – the Army Day.
By professionally performing your military duties, facing numerous challenges at work, over the past year you have confirmed that you possess the skills and capability to successfully carry out tasks that fall within your competence, continuing the tradition of the Serbian army and the heroes of the Battle of Kolubara.
You demonstrate great competency by successfully carrying out your tasks in the Ground Safety Zone, as well as in the international environment, and you help build up the reputation of the Serbian Armed Forces as a whole. Thanks to the investments of the Republic of Serbia, Army units are equipped with modern weapons and military equipment, your human resources are gradually strengthening, and you are a powerful deterrent against potential enemy.
Your units have provided selfless help to the citizens of Serbia to recover from the natural disasters that have befallen our country and you have shown that the Armed Forces are an inseparable part of the people.
I wish you a happy holiday, hoping that you will continue to address the upcoming challenges with equal success, thus ensuring the stability of the defence system and making a full contribution to the development of this service of the Serbian Armed Forces”.
