1st Army Brigade Day
A military ceremony was held at the “Jugovićevo” Barracks in Novi Sad today to mark the 1st Army Brigade Day, which commemorates November 9, 1918, when the Serbian army liberated Novi Sad.
To mark the occasion, awards were presented to the most deserving individuals and units subordinate to the Brigade and major achievements in building operational and functional capabilities were highlighted.The review of past year’s results highlighted that the 1st Brigade had successfully carried out all assigned tasks, that the unit’s equipment and its soldiers’ and leaders’ skills had been improved, thus contributing to the combat readiness of the unit and the Serbian Armed Forces as a whole.
Members of the 1st Army Brigade also celebrated today the unit’s feast day - Holy Martyr Nestor. The Vicar of Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, Bishop Dositej of Lipljan and the Military celebrated the Holy Liturgy.
