SAF reserve members undergo training
In accordance with the reserve’s annual call-up and training plan, training is underway in the Serbian Armed Forces Units for reservists above the age of 30 who have not done military service under arms. The training will last for several days.
Nearly 500 reservists who fit this category are currently in the units, doing practical training in using new, modern personal weapons, carrying out shooting practices, practicing tactical actions and procedures in battle from orientation, observation, camouflage and movement across the battlefield to choosing or building cover.
This is individual basic training which provides soldiers with the knowledge and skills necessary for carrying out basic combat tasks in defence and offence. During the training, soldiers also adapt to living and working in a military collective.
At this time, the emphasis is on carrying out all firing practices included in the training programme, and the soldiers are intensively doing close-order drill preparing for the oath ceremony which rounds of this training cycle.
In the next training phase, this category of reservists will undergo specialized training which will prepare them for their roles within their branches and service, depending on the needs of the Serbian Armed Forces units.
