Soldiers recruited for voluntary military service undergo specialist training
Soldiers recruited for voluntary military service, Military Academy cadets, professional soldiers and commanders are currently doing intensive training at the Army Training Centre in Požarevac.
Among the diverse trainees, there are artillerymen and engineers enlisted for voluntary military service in September, who have been assigned to this Training Command unit after successfully completing their basic training.
The artillerymen are being taught to operate 122 mm 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers and 152 mm M84 Nora gun howitzers, and engineers are learning the skills necessary to perform the role as the TMM-3 launched bridge operators. The emphasis is on practicing combat actions and tactical procedures for an effective execution of military duties for which they have been recruited.
The young artillerymen and engineers have yet to undergo more complex field training, followed by evaluation of their skills necessary to perform military tasks, which wraps up the specialist training cycle.
The soldiers will spend the last three months of their military service in collective training in SAF artillery and engineer units, where they will be actively involved in the execution of daily tasks.
