Meeting with Turkish Defence Minister Güler
The President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, met today with the Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Türkiye, Yaşar Güler.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, attended the meeting.
President Vučić said that Minister Güler’s visit was extremely important, because it would make an additional contribution to the very important role of Serbia and Türkiye in the preservation of peace and stability throughout the Balkans.
“We are committed to further advancement of overall bilateral cooperation and continued political dialogue, which are indicators of the highest level of the relations between the two countries in contemporary history. Belgrade is fully committed to the dialogue with Priština but I have pointed out that ensuring security for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and implementing all commitments resulting from agreements reached to date without further delay is a priority at this time. I look forward to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s upcoming visit to Belgrade as it is an ideal opportunity to further strengthen mutual ties and cooperation” – President Vučić said in his Instagram post after the meeting.
