Course for battalion, brigade finance officers begins
The course for finance officers in battalions and brigades, attended by members of the financial service working in the organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, organized by the Budget and Finance Sector started today at the Accounting Centre of the Ministry of Defence.
At the opening ceremony, Head of the Accounting Centre, Colonel Tomislav Radivojević, Ph.D., said that the goal of the continuous professional development of the financial service staff is for them to refresh and acquire new knowledge related to the financial system of the Republic of Serbia, i.e. the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, and to successfully perform their duties in the battalion and brigade-sized units and establishments of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
The course programme includes the system of financial services at the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, the accounting system, financial control and auditing, adoption and modification of the financial plan, inventorying assets and liabilities, salaries, fees and other income, foreign exchange operations, as well as the payment of damages and the role of the Social Insurance Fund for Military Personnel (SOVO) in the financial service system.
