Celebration of Military Academy’s feast day



Members of the Military Academy celebrated today at this military higher education institution’s chapel the Military Academy’s feast day – the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God. 
His Grace Bishop of Lipljan and military Bishop, kyr Dositej, concelebrated the Holy Liturgy with protopresbyter-staurophor Milovan Glogovac, protopresbyter Đorđe Stojisavljević and military chaplains Captain Slavko Papić and Vladan Vuković, to the accompaniment of Military Academy cantors.

The Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God has been celebrated as the Military Academy’s feast day since the time of Aleksandar Obrenović. 

The Military Academy’s chapel is dedicated to this feast day and it was consecrated by the late Serbian patriarch, His Holiness Irinej, on January 26, 2014.
The feast day celebration was attended by members of the collegia of the Rector of the Defence University and the Commandant of the Military Academy, members of the Military Academy, cadets and students of military schools.
