Visit from Commander of JFC Naples
Admiral Stuart Munsch, Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples, who is also Commander of United States Naval Forces Europe-Africa, is paying a visit to the Republic of Serbia.
President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, held separate meetings with Admiral Munsch today.
General Mojsilović and Admiral Munsch exchanged views and opinions on the current security situation in the region and the world and discussed prospects for cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and JFC Naples, focusing on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, considering that the international force in the Serbian province is within the responsibility of this command.The cooperation so far has been constructive and professional, the two men concluded during the meeting, and the partnership, which is marked by full respect for Serbia’s policy of military neutrality, contributes to peace and stability in the region. They also expressed readiness to continue cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, particularly in the ones relating to the development of capabilities for participation in multinational operations.
The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff presented to the Commander of NATO’s Southern Flank our side’s opinions and views of the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the challenges, risks and threats faced by both Serbs living in the Province, but also by the entire region.General Mojsilović said that, in accordance with UNSC Resolution 1244 and all the signed agreements, the Republic of Serbia continues to consider KFOR as the only legitimate security actor in the Province, and that it therefore expects JFC Naples to undertake steps that will provide a safe environment and freedom of movement for all, and, primarily, for the citizens of Serbian nationality.
