New housing loans for military pensioners



The Chairman of the Managing Board of the Military Pensioners Social Security Fund Brig. Gen. Veljko Todorovic, PhD presented the granted military pensioners with housing loan contracts each worth 20.000 EUR which will speed up the solution of their housing problems.

Recalling the efforts of the Human Resources Sector and of the Department for Tradition, Standards and Veterans, the Director of the Military Pensioners Social Security Fund MSc Milojko Milovanovic said that this year’s goals focus on solving such existential problems as housing issues, that is, on improving their living standards and material standing.

- The fund currently has 2747 registered military professionals with no home of their own, and 35 million RSD per month are allotted for compensating their living costs which makes a total of 421 million RSD per year. The military pensioners have demonstrated high interest in solving this issue in such a way, as more than 470 pensioners have filed for a loan of 20.000 RSD. The loan was approved for 319 military pensioners, for which 630 million RSD have been allotted, as Colonel Milovanovic said.
