Visit from Chief of General Staff of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia
Chief of General Staff of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski and his delegation are paying a three-day return visit to our country, in accordance with the Plan of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia and at the invitation of Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović.
Today, General Gjurchinovski visited the General Staff of Armed Forces, where with General Mojsilović, he discussed the current security situation in the region and world, the achievements of the established military-to-military cooperation and possibilities for its enhancement.
Evaluating that joint military activities contribute to strengthening confidence and developing good neighbourly relations, the interlocutors at the meeting expressed the orientation of the both sides towards further strengthening of the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and Army of the Republic of North Macedonia in all areas of mutual interest.
In the continuation of the visit, General Gjurchinovski visited the Military Academy in Belgrade, where he was introduced to the capacities and area of work of this institution, and afterwards, he had a meeting with Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević.
Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović paid an official visit to the Republic of North Macedonia in February 2020, and such high-level meetings give new impetus for further enhancement of defence cooperation and strengthening of the overall interstate relations.
