Regular Training of Air Defence Missile Systems Combat Crews
At peacetime locations of air defence self-propelled missile battalions, there is ongoing regular training of combat crews in executing actions in defensive AD operations.
The training encompasses practising combat activities on missile systems “Kub” and basic technical maintenance, and it is being conducted to enhance capabilities to provide air defence to Serbian Armed Forces personnel, important facilities and locations against assaults from air.
In this training cycle, the combat crews undergo all elements of the tactics for the use and maintenance of “Kub” missile system, and they primarily practise the emplacement of firing position, battery transition into the state of combat-readiness, and procedures during immediate preparation and execution of firing. There is also a competence test of the combat crews to perform tasks in accordance with the defined time norms, which ensure adequate speed of reaction and successful destruction of air targets.
"Kub" missile systems make organic weapons of self-propelled missile battalions of the 250th anti-aircraft missile brigade. The system is intended for the destruction of targets in the air flying at law and medium altitudes, and it is characterised by high mobility and possibility of centralised firing command and control.
