Minister Vučević meets with Ambassador of Israel Vilan



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević today met with the Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Yahel Vilan.

At the meeting, Minister Vučević said that the development of relations with Israel is based on the closeness between the Serbs and Jews throughout history, as testified by their joint suffering in concentration camps across the Balkans and Europe during the Second World War.
Ambassador Vilan said that Israel considers Serbia an important partner and that it is committed to developing cooperation between the two countries in all important areas of mutual interest.
 
Minister Vučević and Ambassador Vilan agreed that there is potential for the advancement of bilateral defence cooperation.
