MP unit undergoes pre-deployment training
An Army MP unit designated for participation in multinational operations under the Operational Capabilities Concept is going through an intensive training period.
During the training, MP members practice defined tactics, techniques and procedures designed to ensure interoperability of forces from different countries and a successful execution of MP tasks in an international environment.
In this training stage, MP platoon members are practicing the execution of collective tasks they might face in multinational operations, such as crowd control, setting up checkpoints, conducting patrols, blockading and searching the terrain, conducting enquiries, collecting and processing evidence.
In the coming period, they are to conduct a tactical field exercise at the Borovac Training Ground and South Base, where the unit’s competence and interoperability will be checked and evaluated.
The Operational Capabilities Concept is one of the forms of cooperation under the Partnership for Peace Program that helps the Serbian Armed Forces reach the standards of interoperability and develops the operational capabilities of the units designated for participation in peacekeeping operations.
