Statement
In order to provide accurate information to the public and prevent the spread of misinformation, the Ministry of Defence announces that Almir Asanović, who presents in the media as an Air Force and Air Defence colonel and pilot, is not a member of the Serbian Armed Forces and never was. The said individual appears in public wearing the uniform and insignia of the Yugoslav Army, which are no longer in use in the Serbian Armed Forces.
We hereby appeal to the media not to publish inaccurate and unverified information that could harm the reputation of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
