Armoured units conduct firing practice with branch weapons
Members of the tank battalion, 3rd Army Brigade, have conducted field training at the “Orešac“ training ground near Vršac.
As part of the training, whose purpose is for professional personnel to maintain and improve their skills, tank crews practiced combat procedures and conducted preliminary firing and firing practice using the M-84 tank weapons.The trainees engaged targets at various distances, and the firing results confirmed that unit members are well-trained for the execution of assigned tasks.
In the next period, the tankers will face tactical exercises and live fire drills, where their tactical and firing skill levels will be assessed and the quality of training conducted in this training cycle will be evaluated.The M-84 tank is the basic combat vehicle of tank battalions in Army brigades, which, due to its great mobility, striking force and a high level of ballistic protection, has a leading role and is of great importance in combat operations of the Serbian Armed Forces. Continuous training creates conditions for all crews to meet the required training standards, which also ensures a high level of combat readiness of SAF’s armoured units.
