Statement
Regarding the unethical behavior of certain journalists who have over the past several days harassed via social media, by phone and in person Lance Corporal Aleksandar Anđelković, who suffered an injury at Pasuljanske Livade range during the storm, the Ministry of Defence states that indecent communication, untruths and tendentious comments do not contribute to good public information.
Namely, after receiving successful hospital treatment at the Military Medical Academy, Lance Corporal Aleksandar Anđelić is making an excellent recovery and is in good health.
We are aware that, unfortunately, what lies behind alleged concern for his health condition, is certain media outlets’ sole intention to put the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces into a negative context.
We appeal to media representatives to to refrain from infringing the privacy of a professional member of the Serbian Armed Forces, and from inaccurate and inconsistent reporting of the statements made by his family members.
