Addressing the audience, State Secretary Starović said that the delegations representing the defence ministries of Serbia and Angola had discussed the development of relations between the two countries in the domains of military-economic, military to military, military-educational and military-medical cooperation, and that the session had come to an extremely successful conclusion.
According to State Secretary Starović, over the past four days, our friends and partners from Angola had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the companies "Jomil", "Jumko", "Vlatakom", “Planum" and PE "Jugoimport SDPR", which was a good chance for them to see the business scope and capacities of those companies, as well as the potential for establishing cooperation with the Serbian defence industry.
State Secretary Starović also said that the results achieved to date through the partnership between the ministries of defence of Serbia and Angola, as well as future joint projects, would contribute to the development of overall bilateral relations between the two countries.
General Afonso Carlos Neto said that the signed documents were guidelines for the implementation of the agreed projects and added that priority would be given to activities in the fields of military economy, military education and military medicine, i.e. education and training of personnel of the Armed Forces of Angola at the University of Defence.
General Neto said that the visits to Serbian companies and the contacts made were very important for Angola, especially for its military industry, overhaul of existing equipment and the creation of new production capacities in that country.
