Visit to SAF units in Ground Safety Zone
Today, representatives of the Security Services Control Committee and the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia visited SAF units stationed in Raška and the Ground Safety Zone.
The visit was part of regular activities carried out by these permanent working bodies of the National Assembly, whose sphere of action includes, among other things, considering issues relating to the exercise of parliamentary control over the Serbian Armed Forces and the defence system, i.e. the supervision of constitutionality and legality of the work performed by security services.During the visit to the Serbian Armed Forces units, Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Želimir Glišović, informed the MPs about the current security situation and the way the administrative boundary line with the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija is secured. They also had the opportunity to talk to the Second Army Brigade soldiers and officers who carry out their tasks at the "Rudnica" base.
