Training on Digitalised Missile System “Oganj”



Artillery branch soldiers who are doing their voluntary military service, are undergoing training at training grounds of the First Army Brigade in Sremska Mitrovica.

Alter successful completion of specialist training in Training Command centres, the soldiers have been assigned to this unit for the purpose of further training for the execution of collective tasks of Artillery branch. They make part of crews of digitalised 128 mm self-propelled multiple missile launchers M-17 “Oganj”, and they are undergoing intensive training in its combat use.
 
Together with professional members, the soldiers are doing numerous segments of tactical training and they are practising procedures for firing, from the emplacement of a firing position, through the calculation of initial firing elements and correction of artillery fire, to the transition into the following missile position.

The digitalised 128 mm self-propelled multiple missile launchers M-17 “Oganj” is a modern artillery system used to deliver sudden and concentrated artillery fire against large scale targets. Its introduction into the arsenal of the Serbian Armed Forces has significantly improved firing capabilities of the unit for a reliable, swift and precise artillery support during the execution of firing operations.
