President of Montenegro Lays Wreath at Monument to Unknown Hero on Avala
President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović, laid a wreath today at the Monument to Unknown Hero on the Avala Mountain in the framework of his official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
Having laid the wreath, the President of Montenegro wrote in the memorial book the following:
“On behalf of citizens of Montenegro, I pay respect and express gratitude to all fallen warriors of liberation wars who have their lives in the defence of peace and freedom.
Throughout the history, the peoples of Montenegro and Serbia stood in same lines many times, which obliges us to cherish all the values that tie us, and build our relations and cooperation upon them.”
During today’s visit, President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić hosted the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović, and later the two presidents had a meeting which was followed by plenary talks of delegations of Serbian and Montenegro led by their presidents.
