Command-Staff SAF Cyber Defence Forces Exercise
Telecommunication and IT Directorate (J-6) of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces organised in Gornji Milanovac a command-staff exercise of SAF forces for the defence of telecommunication-IT system against cyber threats.
The goal of the exercise is the identification of cyber threats, information-sharing with national cyber defence forces, development and texting procedures of responding to computer incidents, and development of cyber defence capacities in the Republic of Serbia.
Apart from members of Serbian Armed Forces IT Service, the exercise involved representatives of private and public sector and academic community who perform the work in the area of information security.
I keeping with planned concept of the exercise, the participants practise offensive and defensive actions in a closed computer network, as well as providing response to cyber security incidents, information reception and processing, and forensic analysis of cyber action.
Today’s final segment of the exercise was attended by Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Petar Cvetković. He expressed satisfaction with the organisation and realisation of the exercise, and with the fact that all participants displayed exceptional technical skills, coordination and reaction speed while protecting information systems and information space against high technology attacks.
